you are my sunshine . . .: 16.4.2012 / monday

okay. so remember when i said you were asleep by about 930 last night? well, you didn't wake up to eat until almost two! usually it's 3-4 hours, and there have been these nights, but i didn't go to bed a handful of times, thinking you'd be awake soon...crazy! and you were up at seven..not fun on my five hours of sleep, but you're so dang cute i couldn't care less (: napped together for almost three hours (!) this morning, which was great on my five hours heh (; we hung out with stephanie, who is practically another sister to me/aunt to you. she's funny, and you totally think so. (: we ran a couple errands, you napped again (where is my child and what have you done with her?!), then we went to dixie's for dinner. her daddy loves you girl...so sweet. they are so awesome. i love them. you didn't sleep til about midnight though (ah, there she is...(; haha), so hopefully you get some long sleep tonight! you were so so sweet falling asleep. you were alllllmost there, so i rolled you up onto my chest and we just cuddled, but you were slightly awake, and just cooing and talking away, with your hand on my cheek, and sweet half-asleep-giggling...ahh. i love those moments. you just stroking my skin or hand on my face, cuddling into me. i so treasure these moments, for i hear they are fleeting. it's 100% surreal to me to think about you not being my baby, and being a big girl, i just can't imagine it happening, though i know it will...oh my sunshine, i will snuggle and kiss you until i cannot any longer (: common between mamas, this poem...

cleaning and scrubbing

can wait til tomorrow,

for babies grow up,

we've learned to our sorrow.

so settle down cobwebs,

dust go to sleep.

i'm rocking my baby,

and babies don't keep. <3
