15-26.5.2012 / too long between posts!

sigh! i keep doing this! tuesday 15 may we went to silverton to the group, where one of the little girls was being so sweet to you! she kept kissing your cheek and saying, 'got you!' after (: it was pretty much adorable. then we all (brandi and lucy went with us) went to brianna and mr jack's house, and noah was there too. you had your first cucumber. your faces with food are freaking adorable! you got this um what IS this look on your face when you grabbed it, haha. you played on a play piano at jack's...foreshadowing?! (; wednesday was the first time i've really 'left' you. you hung out with grandma for almost THREE HOURS while i went to a class. you did amazingly, of course, and i felt really naked. then we went to mama's appointment and trader joe's, and miss lucy jae and brandi spent the night with us before portland thursday! we got you girls in for a free craniosacral therapy session with students of carol gray (who's amazing) at her house. um, you're like the cst posterchild i think girl. it was awesome. we didn't have any issues to work out really, just wanted to get you in to build your foundation even stronger and since it was pre-crawling babes and you're close, i wanted to snag the spot (; you were curled up in my lap nursing, facing me, and when fiona was working on you, you just slowly fanned out, entire body limp, arms up and out, totally zonked on your back in a meditative state. it was truly amazing!! when she stopped working on you, you kinda came to and had such a relaxed demeanor. oh i love you (: carol snapped some photos, so hopefully i can track them down and add them below (: we all went to whole foods and then came home. friday you tried a little avocado....i gave you a chunk at the table and i think to date it's the only thing that hasn't gone into your mouth! haha :P you kinda just mashed it into the table, but hey, that's what it's all about! you make THE most disgusted face at it though, and it's to die for hehehe. we went to the park with lucy and brandi, and got lots of cute photos of you!! we also went to the ican meeting, where you got lots of lovin and also showed me that you're officially mobile within a few feet! saturday we hung out around the house, and went out to bella vie in the evening for mama's night out (: it was wonderful! you hung out with some wonderful mamas and midwives, and we got to sit where i birthed you again. i just love going there. you totally recognize it too. when the bell outside our birthing room made a ding in the wind, you got this look on your face...i can't really explain it, but you knew. that was where you came into the world, and that sound played all night outside. that was the first place you ever went outside, on that deck. ah. it was great. anywayyyy. sunday we went to amber's baby shower! you gnawed on some more cucumber, and even though i tried to get a picture i missed the cutest moment....you had the cucumber slice in your mouth hands-free...omg, it was wonderful (: we hung out at home with grandma in the evening, and you really started to try and pull to standing on things aside from me. oh goodness, by the way, you started to pull up to standing sometime in the last couple of weeks, and now i can't stop you!! this last week has been full of crazy mobility! i was nervous you'd be so close to crawling the day we had your cst appointment, haha. you are nearly there now. you move a handful of feet around now, really noticed that friday when i sat you down in front of my chair and you ended up about four feet in front of me, without me really noticing! hehe now you go forward from sitting very comfortably but you'd much rather just try to pull to stand on EVERYTHING. my arms, hands, skin, hair, clothes, legs, knees, netbook, table leg, ottoman, yoga ball....literally whatever you can get your little hands on (: monday we saw stephanie and hung around the house. tuesday......who knows. hahaha! wednesday 23 may we went to mama's appointment and then to the store and such. we hung out with grandma for a bit in the evening before she went to oly, then stayed at brandi and lucy's house. we hung out with the girls and landen thursday, made cookies while you were on my back in the ergo, and ran a couple of errands. today you tried some more avocado! i've given you a bit of yams too, and the other night you straight up stole a piece of tortilla from grandma and ate a piece! haha i think that's what you've liked best so far, but it's best for you not to have grains until you are closer to a year. we went to amy's house friday afternoon to make some muffins and hang. mikey didn't wake up until you were near sleep though. we just hung around the house for the rest of the evening, and there was a thunder & lightning storm! your first one (: we went outside, and omg were you cuter than life! when it thundered, you got the cutest little surprised face and looked at me, and then talked back to the thunder! it was a really amazing and surreal moment where all of a sudden everything but us outside in the driveway dropped off the earth. crazy wonderful (: you also kept looking at the sky for more lightning after it would strike. <3 so smart girl, so smart. you've also gotten more confident about nursing this last week or so. not sure if confident is the right word, but we can nurse with you sitting even better now, and when you can see what's going on you are so cute and curious! you'll unlatch, and kinda check things out, take a look around, feel what's up, then latch again and suck for a few seconds, lather/rinse/repeat. hehe it's really cute that you know what's going on now! you will climb over to me and try to find it yourself too, loveeeee. you're also signing milk more...almost near regularly now! you signed milk on your chest last week....so so sweet (: also, you've been napping amazingly!!! the cst has really helped with your sleeping....not that i mind/ed you being awake so much, but it's gotta be harder on your body not to get more sleep! the next morning you took a nice two hour nap!! you've been napping wonderfully, actually. saturday we ran some errands out south. we checked out a baby store called sprinkles, and went and said hi to luanna at her new store next door! so fun...i could look at cloth diapers all day, haha (; we spent the evening at home, playing with pots and pans, and putting toys in and taking them out...<3 ps....photo overload....it's what happens when i'm behind!
